About Dineke Dijk

I’ve had the privilege of working with many clients who share my enthusiasm for creating spaces that are personal, practical, and beautiful—homes that feel just right for the people who live in them today, and offices that inspire the people who work in them.

I design spaces for people to truly enjoy living and working in. Whether it’s transforming a compact dyke house into a light-filled home or rethinking an office to feel both practical and inspiring, my focus is always on how a space will feel and function in daily life. I like to keep the process open and collaborative, so clients feel heard and involved from the very first idea to the final touches.

Over the years I’ve worked on a wide variety of projects—historic renovations, contemporary extensions, custom villas, and smart office interiors. I enjoy blending old and new: keeping the character of a building, but making it work for modern needs. Light, space, and smart use of materials are always central to my designs, along with sustainable choices that will last.

Alongside my residential work, I design distinctive office interiors, including projects at the World Trade Center in Amsterdam, where I collaborate with Lyon design & build to create bespoke spaces for a wide range of remarkable clients.

About Dineke Dijk

I create spaces that feel good to live and work in.

From heritage homes to modern offices, I design with light, space, and sustainability in mind—always in close collaboration with my clients, so every project feels personal and truly fits the way they live or work.

What Dineke does today

  • Residential Renovations & Extensions

Dineke modernizes heritage and traditional dyke houses, transforming compact historic homes into spacious, light-filled dwellings. A standout is the Nieuwendammerdijk project in Amsterdam Noord—a listed wooden fisherman’s cottage—extended with a glass-and-steel rear addition featuring a partially green roof, invisible from the street but generous in garden views. Smart energy systems like heat pumps, solar panels, and pellet stoves ensure modern comfort with minimal impact.

  • Family Homes & Contemporary Additions

She upgrades homes from the 1970s with sleek extensions—like a glazed rear space topped by a grass roof, featuring open-plan kitchens and modern layouts that suit family life

  • Custom Luxury Villas

In Amstelveen, she designed a split-level sustainable villa, combining marble floors, bespoke walnut joinery, layered lighting, and integrated renewable energy features like photovoltaic roof tiles and heat pumps.

  • Office Interiors & Contemporary Workspaces

Dineke has reimagined corporate interiors, such as the management offices at WTC Amsterdam. Here, sleek mirrored finishes, bold corporate styling, high-impact meeting rooms, and smart spatial organization create an environment that is both fresh and refined.
